The tank looks awesome man. I’m thinking of starting a 5 gallon or 2.5 gallon planted nano soon.
BTW is this song from Final Fantasy X?

regular water changes everyday for this tank

That’s pretty pricey. I paid 575.000 for a 150 gal, so I technically paid way less than you for the size I got…

just follow the instructions of the manufacturer-i dont measure it anymore, i just put a guesstimate amount in tank before i put the new water in.

ur right about that. i have 6 koi in 36 gallon tank. they are healthy and the tank is algae free and super clean and clear. just get the right filtration systems, feed them right. i changed 25% of water once every 2 weeks. Dont ask y i have so many kois in just a tiny tank because im building a pond.

I paid 200.00 for my 21.5 gallon and it was 245.00 with shipping. But I have to say its worth it.
They are just beautiful, and it damn near looks like its 25 gallons.

basic rule of 1 inch of fish per gallon is useless and cannot be applied to all fish. The key is filtration systems, tank footprint and whether or not you’re willing to clean it on a routine basis. I’d go and research info online. For saltwater tanks, depending on species I’d stick to 2 or 3. 3 to 4 fish if we’re talking about smaller or less aggressive species.

basic rule is an inch of fish per gallon but i have no experience with saltwater tanks…..although i´ve seen it done, small tanks especially saltwater comes with its own set of challenges. Good luck, hope it works for you.

half tank water changes every day since its quite a small tank.

I want to start a Biocube 29 but is it big enough to have 3 or 4 fish and coral is it really worth it or should i go bigger.

May I enquire, do you use a filter or is it just a case of regular water changes?
ancientpimp on 18 Mar 2009 at 7:01 am #
more or less $70….the plants are priced ridiculously that´s why!
Price goes up more if you want the real tank available thru ADA (AquaDesign Amano) this 1 gallon size i believe is only available in Japan. Mine is a look alike glass flower vase from Zellers for $12, lol!

How much did this cost you total? I really want to do this
pianofreak711 on 22 Mar 2009 at 2:26 am #

no substrate, the foreground plant is “riccia fluitans” tied with fishing line to flat rocks and plastic netting that it came with when i bought it. The stem plants are still in it’s own sponge that comes with it when you buy it potted from the aquastore.

This is so beautiful!! What kind of substrate do you use for something like this? Absolutely stunning!!
