are you having luck with the protein skimmer, i have one but it seems like it is doing nothing for me

I like it. It comes with the proper lighting for soft corals and it is big enough for a starter as well as a small reef tank. the only bad thing is the bioballs. Take them out and put some chaeto and live rock rubble in instead

DO NOT put tanks in that small of a tank, 55 gallon is minimum (70 gallon plus recommended) for tangs, and they need at least 4 feet of horizantal swim space.

I just purchased the same protein skimmer but for my 14 gallon oceanic biocube. I installed it following the instructions and for some reason I am not seeing any bubbles when I plub it in. There is air being blown through the hose just not coming out of the piece of wood. Does it take a couple of days for it to work its way threw the wood?

  22. Joshjlo86 on 17 Feb 2009 at 1:31 pm #
